This central Madrid’s apartment was designed for a young Communication Company’s Businessman. The project is inspired by the High Tech context of the 70’s: gray and black colors masses that mix with stainless steel furnitures, methacrylate and smoked glass to create a concise and technological atmosphere with clean lines.
Two large windows on each side of the chimney frame the beautiful views of the attic space towards the church of San Isidro located in the heart of the traditional District of La Latina.
The furniture combines classic pieces of 20th century design such as the Laccio side table (1925), the Wassily armchair (1926) and the B34 chair (1930) all of them designed by Marcel Breuer with black and white erotic photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe.
The warm colors of the bed's textile and the orange of the Nesso lamp by Giancarlo Mattioli for Artemide (1967) provide the necessary warmth that softens the coldness of the steel and black leather.
